Aly Raisman

Alexandra Rose Raisman was born on May 25, 1994. She retired as an American artist gymnast. She was captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams, which were winners in their respective team competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London, she won gold medals in floor and team competitions along with the bronze medal on the balance beam, making her the most decorated American gymnast in the Games. She received an Olympic gold medal for team competitions at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas, her teammate, also received gold. Raisman also earned silver medals in the individual all-around and for floor exercise. She is the third-highest decorated American gymnast in Olympic history behind Shannon Miller and Simone Biles with six Olympic medals.Raisman was also part of the gold-winning American teams in the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the bronze medalist in the world championships in floor exercise in 2011. She also is two times a national champion in floor exercises (2012 and 2015) and was the reigning champion on the balance beam in 2012. She is also five times medalist in the national championships for all-around (silver, bronze, 2010 2011 and the year 2015). She was inducted into The International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
